This work implemented a Fuzzy System of Evaluation of Government Programs, evaluation of the mid-term type, presenting improvements in relation to the current system, called Preventive Control System - Monitoring and Evaluation of Programs (SICONP-MAP), in the treatment of points of singularity and cloudiness, with potential possibility of incompleteness treatment. The modeling was implemented in the JuzzyOnline and RProject platforms, where both evaluated the "Security for Peace" Program and presented 99.99% similarity, 0.101914 for the maximum difference of the residual values, 0.003688 for the median, and 0.035 for the standard deviation. These metrics showed that there were no differences between the implementations with a level of significance lower than 0.1%, where it is inferred that the modeling is robust. Robustness was compared with SICONP-MAP, where the Fuzzy System presented an accuracy of 88.88%, corresponding to 24 of 27 actions evaluated according to reality, against 44.44% of SICONP's accuracy associated to 12 actions with assessments adhering to reality. Considering that the Fuzzy System points out the distribution of stratified actions in the field of evaluation, ie the performance characteristic of the Program based on actions; it was observed the distribution of the expenditure realized in the field of evaluation, and then it was verified to what extent the first distribution explains the distribution of the expense. The sequences presented 94.82% similarity, 0.029291 for the maximum difference of the residual values, 0.008312 for the median, and 0.007549 of standard deviation, confirming a significance lower than 0.1%. Despite the high correlation, the metric of the expense, which points for the quality of the expenditure, evidenced the risk of classifying 43.64% of the expenditure as high performance whose actions were included as suspected of "Planning Failure". The implementation can be extended to all spheres of government, applying directly to any Program that does not present incompleteness, otherwise it is necessary to pre-treat the data

-
The migratory process of electricity from the captive market to the free market is a consolidated scenario in most of the Brazilian capitals for a few years. However, the city of Manaus has entered late into the free contracting environment, as it remains isolated from the electricity system. In 2016 this scenario was reversed, after the conclusion of the works promoted by Eletrobrás, allowing the insertion into the National Interconnected System, opening up ways for the companies located in the Industrial Pole of Manaus to enjoy the opportunities of acquiring energy in the same mold of the other Brazilian regions , characterized by the attraction of private capital and stimulation of free competition, thus increasing competitiveness and reducing costs. Considering that the applicability of the free market in the city of Manaus is still a recent reality by several companies, this research aims to identify the differences between the contracting markets and the new opportunities of gains, as well as to develop a process of acquisition of electric energy in a new competition scenario and analyze the results and continuity of the improvements implemented. Aiming at the development of this dissertation, seven processes and techniques were used that included the application of the research (case study), definition of a multicriteria modeling, QD analysis (Quality, Delivery), financial risk analysis, benchmarking to define the best companies, matrix of decision and the best cost, ending with the analysis of the ideal time of contract time. Through the application of such methods it was found that the most favorable condition for the contractual period is until the end of 2020, according to the future market forecasts, in addition the expenses with the purchase of electric energy reduced by approximately 53% average expenditures before and after the migration, which led to merits of more than R $ 1.5 Mi / month.

The use of residues in clay-based composites has been used for the production of ceramic materials. It has recently been extensively researched for presenting significant results in its physical and chemical properties. The purpose of this work is to analyze the efficiency of the incorporation of 10%, 20%, 30% by weight of blast furnace slag originating from steel mills in the State of Pará, in the clayey clay composed of strong clay and weak clay yielded by Menegalli ceramics, located in the municipality of São Miguel do Guamá, to produce sealing blocks. Comminution occurred for the purpose of reducing particle size, and then a screen with a mesh aperture of 325 mesh was used. After this step, residuals and raw materials were submitted to FRX, EDS, XRD, TG / DTG, particle size distribution, MO and MEV, with determination of the limits of plasticity and liquidity, showing beneficial results in the compositions AFOAFR and AFOAFR10EAF, which are present in the optimum extrusion area, showing great importance in the ceramic industry for the production of blocks. The test bodies were prepared by uniaxial pressing of 20 MPa, then the muffle furnace stage was carried out at temperatures of 750 ° C, 850 ° C, 950 ° C. Physical and mechanical properties such as: MEA, AA, and flexural strength were obtained, obtaining efficient results for the industry. The microstructures of the burned ceramics were evaluated by MO, MEV and XRD. The results showed that the blast furnace slag is a residue composed of iron oxides, which contributes to the reddish color in the ceramic pieces.

Faced with the phenomenon of globalization and competition for expressiveness in the world market, multinationals define strategies to remain in this increasingly complex context. During the process of choosing a new product, for example, the selection of those that are financially viable and economically profitable is crucial. Therefore, it is essential to consider as important all the elements that influence the cost of a product. At this point of feasibility analysis, the role of process engineering is to analyze the manufacturing process and to predict, with maximum precision, the time required to manufacture a given product, since the manufacturing time directly influences the value of direct labor cost. The purpose of this research is to use MOST (Maynard Operations Sequence Technique), from Predetermined Motion Time System, to estimate the time required to manufacture a new product. This work, classified as an exploratory case study with qualitative and quantitative analyzes, was developed in a multinational industry of the audio sector located in the Manaus Industrial Pole. The analysis of the new product using image and/or sample served as the basis for the choice of assembly sequence, the first step to be developed for the use of MOST. Afterwards, the indices were applied for each activity performed during the manufacturing and finally the standard time of assembly of the product was calculated. The result of the application shows that with old-fashioned methods the company was overestimating the manufacturing time, whereas with the use of MOST, in addition to the verification of the best method of assembly, a more accurate and economically viable analysis was obtained, decreasing the direct label cost for only 2% of the total cost of manufacturing.

METODOLOGY TO MEASURE RESIDUAL STRESSES IN THE FLASH BUTT WELDED ZONE OF RAILWAY RAILS
-
Data: 14/12/2018
-
Mostrar Resumo
-
Railway rails are purchased in 24-meter pieces and welded to larger bars, up to 360 meters, before being installed on track. These welds, when in service, suffer deformations that can lead to the fracture of the welded joint. This work aims to present a methodology to measure residual stresses in the flash butt welded zone on rails. The rails used were hardness level greater than 370 HB, carbon content approximately 0.79%. The rails were welded through flash butt process, carried out by the stationary equipment Schlatter GAAS 80. The technologies currently applied for the measurement of residual stress demands destructive or semi-destructive tests. This dissertation pursues a non-destructive technology capable of being applied in the field for the measurement of residual stresses on installed rails. The technology used to measure residual stress was x-ray diffraction, the equipment used to measure the residual stresses was the X-Stress 3000 analyzer. The results showed residual stresses in the welded zone, where specific zones of tensile stresses are presented near the center, and values of 391 MPa close to the center of the weld joint, and compressive stress was noted as it moved away from the weld center in values close to -166 MPa. There was compatibility with the available bibliography on the subject and, therefore, the technology shows great potential to be applied on railway rails.

-
The major contribution to energy consumption in a pipe conveyor is due to indentation rolling resistance, also named viscoelastic resistance. Reproducing the effects of actual operating conditions presents itself as a challenge for direct measurements, since samples from the original belt are currently used for small-scale laboratory testing. This paper presents the development of a low cost measuring idler for indentation data acquisition on pipe conveyors under the most different conditions. Using a calibration support and an electronic module for data storage, it was possible to analyze belt speed, temperature, humidity and also vertical, horizontal and rotational loads. The correlation coefficients obtained for the belt speed and vertical loading measurements were, respectively: 0.998927314 for 340 samples and 0.777221023 for 600 samples. The indentation rolling resistance values were reduced with the increasing of the belt filling degree and the cost was feasible for industrial production, varying between 10 and 20 times the value of a typical load idler from a pipe conveyor.

The composition of this work encompasses the chemical analysis process of horticultural products from the rural or urban environment, which supply the productive demand of the food industries, from which companies generate products from raw materials that may or may not be contaminated with pesticides. One of the aspects to emphasize is the tangibility of the actions of the companies that operate in the food sector, which directly impact consumer health and the post-consumer quality of life assurance. For many the means of analysis of pesticide residues is unknown, even if supported by laws that evaluate water, soil, biota and food. The objective of this work is to evaluate and monitor the presence of agrochemicals in the reception of raw materials from food industries, preceding the production line, using chemical indicators phenolphthalein, methyl red, methyl orange and bromothymol blue, which present by means of color change, the minimum application of the chemical agents in the plantations. For this, comparative analyzes were performed in the laboratory with cultures from rural and urban suppliers, relating the results obtained to the existing literature. Comparisons of the routine analysis of the industry were carried out with the new methodology proposed and the improvement in quality control of the raw material was proven.

The geographical characteristics of the Amazon where its roads are the rivers, the demand for boats of the most diverse is always great which attracts many entrepreneurs willing to act in this segment. This more competitive condition in the market makes the concern with the reduction of production costs become even more important, not forgetting to meet customer demands and maintain quality. Because most shipyards still adopt craft production of vessels, it is not possible to satisfactorily evaluate the cost of producing that good. For this it is essential to know the processes used in the manufacture of the vessel and thus evaluate the cost of each one of them, making it possible in this way to verify if the work is generating profit or loss for the company. Because it is practically handmade, the few consumption variables, such as labor, electrodes, steel, must be verified with the intuition of determining their consumption in each activity and correctly assigning a value to each of them. Thus it is possible to attribute a value to the final product that encompasses all the costs and still make it competitive in the market. In this way, even if it continues being a handcrafted construction, it is possible to work with organization.

This study intends to verify the feasibility of the use of this material for the produce of ribbed slabs. In this case, the concrete used in the bases of the lattice joist, resists tensile tensions; and these are, after cracking of the material, only resisted by steel reinforcement. To prove this feasibility, were defined five concrete samples corresponding to five different percentages of residue addition, molding a test cylinders and joist; as well as conducting the tests for analysis of their physical behavior. The results obtained in the tests demonstrated that the addition resulted in a decrease in concrete strength of up to 37% and an increase of up to 21% in the volume produced, which did not affect the structural performance in the flexing of the joists, satisfying the characteristics required for their use in shoes in the production of precast slabs.

Access to a health service is guaranteed by law to every society. However, with the help of resources available for this area, better access to medicines, research studies and market competition, the need to find alternatives that allow cost rationalization without compromising therapy has become essential for the maintenance of the Cheers. In this sense, this work had as objective the importance of pharmacoeconomics in the oncology sector of a public hospital in the Brazilian Amazon. Experiencing the exponential growth of public health expenditures is an economic feasibility assessment strategy to optimize resource scarcity more efficiently. Pharmacoeconomics is characterized by the application of drugs in the use of medicines, minimizing financial expenses without compromising treatment. The dispensing of the minded onedicalors in the scientific software is leveduring as function aegalias. The global debate on the feasibility of social conditioning is to take into account a cost-effectiveness ratio that relates costs to health. According to the National Cancer Institute, it is estimated, for Brazil, the biennium 2018-2019, the occurrence of 600 million new cases of cancer, for each year. The mismatch between available resources and advances in cancer therapy requires benefit projects in cost-benefit, cost-use, and cost minimization processes. In view of this scenario, we have drawn towards the macroscopic challenge of pharmacoeconomics in the antineoplastic therapy sector of a public hospital in the Brazilian Amazon, entitled UNACON (High Complexity in Oncology Unit). 2011 that provides oncological care to 19 municipalities in the West Paraense and Paralelo Recorrente de Oncológicos No Proportional Partitioning of Institutional Resources.

The case study refers to the validation process of torque meters of a motorcycle manufacturer. In the analyzes carried out in the process, it was observed that the torque wrenches are validated every three months with rigid calibration parameters based on technical standards to define the conformity of the same, which requires an availability of time and in many situations, availability of new equipment. Based on the technical standards that involve the subject of calibration and validation, it was verified that the periodicity of calibration and validation of torque wrenches can be greater than 12 months, except when it is exposed to damage conditions. As for the parameters used in this process, they are for calibration performed in laboratories accredited by INMETRO, where they undergo accurate assessments to evaluate the condition of the torque wrench, other than a validation process which involves comparisons of measurements between the one duly standard calibrated and a torque wrench in validation. Therefore, the objective is to optimize this process in a way that becomes more efficient, performing its activities with lower cost related to time of service and maintaining product quality through the balance of process parameters and standards. The improvement alternative covers two conditions: the reformulation of the frequency of the torque wrenches using the Schumacher Method and the re-evaluation of the parameters adopted for approval and failure. This improvement was developed from the analysis of the current procedure, study of the history of previous validations and bibliographical research to study and choose the best alternative for the process. After adjusting the periodicity, it was identified that 30 to 40% of the verified equipment undergoes adjustments to be approved within the limit established previously, however these results do not interfere in the process parameters and do not affect the quality of the product. Thus, after the periodicity procedure and the adjusted dressing, the initial results obtained in four months, shows the reduction of cost in relation to about 28% relation to time and resources used.

High energy consumption (EE) has driven EE generation in developed countries. In Brazil, 18.2% of the energy generated is thermoelectric. Generation of energy by Motor Generator (MG) is strategic, however, with a high cost of implantation and maintenance. Because of a high cost, maintenance based on the function parameters of the MG, has been increasingly important in the prevention of errors of these engines. Thus, the present work has the objective of developing a model of operation frequency data analysis based on the operation of an internal combustion engine (MCI) cooling system. The fuzzy inference model adopted for the fault prediction system is not based on computational models of combustion pressure and water pressure. The evidences were presented according to the needs of the performance monitoring system of the power generator system, with a greater efficiency and safety for the protection systems.

In the last decade, the intensification of competitiveness in the market drives companies to return their focus to the improvement of the productive and company policy, thus seeking to ensure competitive advantage. The main objective of this essay is to analyze the production system of a ceramic industry located in Sao Luis, MA and perform the production processes mapping with the application of the study of time and motion linked to computer simulation, to perform an optimization plan. The monograph presents an exploratory applied research from the case study. With the analyzes of the production flow and identification of the causes of efficiency loss, one can use computer simulation tool to identify relationships between processes and creating a optimization plan for key processes in the production system. Having said, there are two restrictions in the system: the cutting machine and the side B oven. Therefore, the identification of the bottlenecks was possible by concentrating efforts and investments in relevant sites, making the company more competitive. This is an importance of computational simulation, a powerful tool that helps to increase the profit for the companies, increasing reliability in the search for problems and waste.

Development focused countries are always looking for modes of transportation improvement. The railway one increases every year due to road transportation restrictions. In Brazil, railway is a high cost mode but the private sector has been investing in general cargo transportation from the North to the South of the country. Aiming profit and even to be competitive, productivity and fuel efficiency management are mandatory because fuel is the second highest cost in this segment’s companies. Regarding railways, to be more specific, locomotives dimensioning, it is not reasonable to leave this complex activity to be executed in a manual way by employees with only empirical knowledge since there is a high number of variables involved in a transportation definition. Concerning the above mentioned, it was necessary to develop a mathematical model in order to support the locomotives dimensioning process involved in cargo transportation, taking restrictions and fuel efficiency reduction into consideration. The computational tool used to create the mathematical model to optimize the best train model in Centro Norte corridor, more specifically in Norte-Sul railway, is GLPK. The mathematical model versus the empirical model achieved 1,97% reduction in fuel efficiency and is deployment phase in FNS railway.

Starch has grown in interest as a biodegradable plastic, mainly because it is an abundant raw material in nature, renewable and low cost. The various types of starch grains provide thermoplastics with different physico-mechanical characteristics. The present work proposes to analyze the influences caused by the variation of rice, cassava and corn starch grains, used for the production of thermoplastic films. As well, perform the mechanical analysis of the photodegradation of the same. For the preparation of the films the rice starch, manioc and corn were used, which were solubilized and heated in a water bath. The starches were characterized by physical-chemical analysis, SEM, and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) technique. And the films were characterized with direct measurement with micrometer (thickness), Optical Microscopy, Thermal Analysis (TG) and Mechanical Analysis. With the analyzes, it was observed that the starches met the standards established for starch products. The starch with lower content of amylopectin (rice) showed lower viscosity during processing. In the analysis of the photomicrographs, we observed non-fully solubilized grains, especially the corn films, which presented more resistant grains to the processing. This can be related to the lower thermal degradation temperature obtained for corn films, according to thermogravimetric analysis. Variations obtained in the mechanical properties after irradiation, such as maize films with higher resistance and cassava films with greater elongation, may be related to factors such as non solubilized grains, viscosity, film thickness, polymer chain size and amylose / amylopectin ratio. Keywords: Starch, Biofilm, Production, Characterization and Photodegradation.

Industrial AGVs have a wide range of applications in the processes they are part of, bringing benefits from flexibility to changes in these processes to improving employee safety. Allied to these robots, the PID controllers appear as one of the most used methods for the control of these vehicles. In recent years, heuristic optimization methods have gained space in the industrial area, and are strongly associated with the control strategies used. This work presents a PID control proposal for a unicycle type AGV, with its parameters optimized by the gray wolf algorithm (GWO), a heuristic optimization technique based on the hunting behavior of the species that gives its name to the technique. The performance of the PID controller is compared to the kinematic controller used by the reference work. For each trajectory tested, fifty simulations are performed for the determination of standard error and standard deviation, with GWO and robot trajectory evaluated by graphs. The effects of the number of iterations and search agents are observed in relation to the performance of the algorithm. In the end, the advantages and disadvantages of the project are evaluated and suggestions for continuation are given.

Production Planning, Scheduling and Control is one of the most important processes of information flow within an organization that transforms strategic planning into the operational levels of the company. Production planning and scheduling are activities that involve several sectors of the company in making decisions that impact the operation of the entire flow of the company's production system. The analysis of materials in advance of the plan to be fixed in the production system has a great relevance in the indicators of the planning cycle, availability of material, so that production does not exchange unnecessary models in the production line, as well as lines for lack of materials. The process of early analysis was recently implemented and therefore the company has not yet carried out an analysis that could accurately establish the benefits of said system, and from this point it is proposed to analyze the effects of the implementation of the demand analysis system in advance. In this context, production systems are adapted to increase the way the company makes its decisions. This study aims to highlight the differences existing in the early analysis of all risk factors for the fixation of television production plan. For this, the research was carried out using the scenario of production planning within a company of the industrial pole of Manaus, the applied methodology was through documentary research, direct observation as well as a case study. With the application of the system of anticipated production demand, we obtained a reduction of 10% in the planning cycle compared to previous years. Therefore, the results obtained from the experimental analysis of the system shows that we had a cycle gain of planning, model exchange, significant analysis time for the company, this makes the analysis process anticipates demand for the fixation of the production plan a fundamental tool in the decision-making process for the company.

The largest application of recycled PET is intended for bottle2bottle bottles. This technology has been used successfully in the countries of Europe and Central America since 1991, however in Brazil it is little explored, causing the recycling indicators to remain far below the expectation of the National Solid Waste Policy. The reasons for this work are related to the reason for the delay in the use of this technology in Brazil, so the general objective is to present the influence of the use of PET-V and PET-PCR on the quality parameters of the production of packaging for beverages and specifically to compare the residual migration values of chemicals and the quality characteristics of the beverage cartons manufactured from the PET-V and PET-PCR blends. Proportion of 80/20 in large-scale production in the two-stage process in 41 g preforms and 2000 ml bottles. The migration results, AA, burst test, free fall and stress cracking remained similar to PET-V. The intrinsic viscosity fell sharply, leading to a deviation in material distribution, volumetric capacity and dimensional expansion under temperature (EDT) of the bottle. There was detection of variation in size, shape and color of PET-PCR pellets and appearance of high black speck index less than 5 mm.

Globalization in the electronics sector creates a scenario of competitiveness, driving industries to implement projects in order to avoid wasting. With the purpose of increasing its competitiveness in the world market, an Asian company installed in Manaus Industrial Pole received a study of identification and elimination of activities that do not add value in one of its productive processes of electronic boards, having as fundamental tools the Value Stream Mapping and the Fuzzy Logic. The research was initiated with a drawing of the current state of production, which consisted in the analysis of cycle time, accumulated parts and defects, all related to 18 work stations. After the initial information was lifted, the process of analysis and verification of the collected data was started. To this process the use was added the diffuse logic followed by its four respective stages, which are: input variables; Fuzzification; the Inference; the Defuzzification. Finally, an action plan was drawn for 8 work stations that presented wastes, those represented by an index below 40% in the Fuzzy output. The improvements applied followed the principles of lean manufacturing and obtained significant, among which the reduction of 2 direct operators, elimination of 29 defects and reduction of 48.6% in the time of product processing. The model presented shows the effectiveness of the MFV and Fuzzy Logic tools when applied as a function of the waste elimination in a manufacturing process, thus becoming the target of new studies in different production sectors.

Much is discussed about the use of statistics for the health area and much is still discussed, related to the epidemiological profiles of hospital morbidity and mortality in several regions of Brazil and in the world. The statistics of morbidity and mortality constitute an important subsidy for the knowledge of the epidemiological profile of a population, elaboration of health indicators and consequent planning of actions of the sector. Based on these principles, the objective of this study is to conduct a study of Hypertension and Diabetes in the epidemiological indicators of hospital morbidity and mortality in the SUS network, during the period from 2011 to 2016, in the Municipality of Santarém in the state of Pará, according to International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD 10). A retrospective study was conducted with a quantitative study using systematic records to obtain data in a specific period, place and sample. The purpose of this study was to characterize the hospital epidemiological profile of morbidity and mortality in the municipality. When analyzing the records, it is evident that the number of deaths occurred, counted according to the place of residence of the deceased, is more representative in the hospital records, for all age groups as well as for all sexes. The correlation between both diseases allowed us to identify that although hypertension affects men and women and that their prevalence increases with age, they are also present among adolescents and children and that when associated with diabetes, it increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Finally, what could be verified with the development of this work is that the strategic planning of the municipality should compose incentive proposals to improve the health indicators of the population. In other words, in addition to being able to develop innovative solutions such as health care programs, they can organize, monitor, evaluate and correct in a simple and integrated way the various processes that constitute the health of the municipality.

The use of electric energy for ambient air conditioning is one of the great challenges in the search for alternatives for the supply of energy in large consumption centers. The various regions of the world, such as the equatorial ones, are among those that demand a great amount of electrical energy to feed a state of greater importance. The work was a model of air conditioning suprised by photovoltaic generation, with the unit of conditioning of photovoltaic air (UCAFV). The proposed system was investigated using data of ambient temperature and irradiance for two days of the city of Belém, located in the state of Pará - Brazil, a locality with climatic characteristics very similar to numerous regions near the equator. For this study, two days were analyzed, one sunny day and the other cloudy, where a computational tool was elaborated using the EES - Engineering Equation Solver software to simulate the behavior of the system, considering the natural adjustment of the cooling capacity according to with the rate of energy production by the Photovoltaic Generator (GFV), that is, without any type of control system to regulate the refrigeration capacity and the internal temperature of the conditioned environment. For this study, GFVs with nominal power (𝑃𝐹𝑉0) of 700 Wp, 1000 Wp and 1400 Wp were simulated for direct feeding of the Air Conditioning System (ACS), considering the minimum and maximum cooling capacity limits of the system commercial used. The cooling capacity, the coefficient of performance, the condensation capacity and the internal temperature of the environment to be conditioned, according to the variation of the cooling capacity, were calculated. This, in turn, is a function of the power produced by the GFV, delivered to drive the SCA. The thermal load corresponding to the set consisting of walls, windows, people, lighting, equipment, etc., was determined using Hourly Analysis Program (HAP, Version 4.9) software. As a case study, we used the library environment of the Group of Studies and Development of Energy Alternatives of the Federal University of Pará (GEDAE). For the UCAFV, the maximum cooling capacity obtained was 5.78 kW, corresponding to the 1.28 kW power generated by the GFV with nominal power of 1400 WP for the sunny day, in the interval between 11:00 and 12:00 h . For the sunny day the average temperatures found for the simulated environment with (𝑃𝐹𝑉0) equal to 700 WP, 1000 WP and 1400 WP were 22.6 ° C, 21.7 ° C and 20.4 ° C respectively and for the day cloudy at 26 ° C, 25.2 ° C and 24.3 ° C, respectively. According to the data obtained in the simulation, it was concluded that the UCAFV has the potential to be used in the air conditioning of domestic environments and commercial offices in the city of Belém, as well as in other locations with an equatorial climate. In addition, the tool and the methodology developed can help in the accomplishment of future studies within this theme.

In order to control the drying temperature of the PET resin in the silo of the plastic injection molding machine, during the plastic injection process in the industries producing preforms for the manufacture of beverage bottles, care is taken in the ideal temperature regulation for the better performance in controlling the generation of Acetaldehyde (AA), which alters the taste of carbonated or non-carbonated drinks, providing a citrus nuance to the palate and questioning the quality of the packaged products. The objective of this work is to develop a tool based on Fuzzy logic to support the control of the drying temperature of PET resin, allowing specialists to make the ideal temperature control decisions necessary to control the generation of Acetaldehyde (AA). For the development of the proposed Fuzzy inference model, we used the Matlab Fuzzy toolbox tool, where the input variables, the fuzzyfication rules and the output variable were implemented based on the data collected from the preform injection process. From the inference model we obtained a more precise management of the variables that influence the generation of AA, estimating a reduction of R $ 907,200.00 in annual costs in the production of preforms.

The highest temperature under which a CPU can operate without interruption is 90 ° C. When the TDP of processors is very high, generally heat sinks provided for removal of heat prove to be inadequate when the CPU usage is 100%. The objective of this work is to explore the thermal transfer using the DTML method in a computer cooling liquid application with Intel® Core ™ i5-3330 to 3.0GHz quad-core processor. Both the coolant fluid and the liquid cooling kit purchased for the experiment belong to the manufacturer Thermaltake, the reference company in the following. An experimental bench to measure the flow, the inlet and outlet temperature of the water block and the acquisition of the data were assembled. Under maximum working load condition, the CPU was subjected to maximum CPU temperatures of 75 ° C with standard fan (heat sink + cooler) and 53 ° C with the watercooler kit, at an average flow rate of 2825 ml/min. The maximum operating efficiency achieved out of 0,439W of energy savings compared to the traditional heatsink.

PID controllers are increasingly present in various industrial processes. Even so, as popular as control systems are, there are still some issues that merit studies. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the control networks in the industries are faulty in the tuning. The current paper presents the development of a methodology for modeling and analysis of industrial plant control systems based on real data, to improve efficiency and optimize the parameters of the plant. By showing the results of tuning the parameters of a PID controller from the identification of the dynamic model of the flow control of the LPG loading pump of a load terminal of propane vessels, this plant transfer function has been obtained by the method of the process reaction curve through a step disturbance in the manipulated variable (pump rotation). Simulation studies are performed on the MATLAB/SIMULINK platform to ensure the performance of the controller. The controller tuning is made by MATLAB/PID Tuner. The result of the simulation provides an appropriate tuning for the PID controller, managing to keep the variable controlled at predetermined values.

The distribution subsystem is the most critical stage of the power system (SEP), since it is the interface of the concessionaires with customers, representing the capture of resources and the focus of most of the performance indicators observed by the public power. The National Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), which regulates access to the distribution subsystem, together with the contingencies of investments in the electricity sector, without charge to the to an expressive growth of loads of mostly monophasic nature. The result of the combination of these events was the need to optimize the assets that make up the distribution subsystems, forcing the best strategy in the decision making of expansions and reinforcements in the distribution circuits. The present work presents in a simulated way a system of balancing of single - phase consumer units (UC), based on nebulous logic and control algorithm based on the simplex method, essentially aiming to reduce the imbalance of the loads connected to the secondary of the distribution transformers in front of the schedules critical of demand, besides the reduction of unplanned shutdowns of the overload protections that affect the service indicators and the reduction of CUs served at non-tolerable levels of voltage at the points of connection with the distribution system, that is, at the point of delivery .

DEVELOPMENT OF DEVICE FOR ELECTROSTATIC PROTECTION IN HIGH VOLTAGE INSULATORS

-
High-voltage disk isolators are equipment used in power transmission or distribution networks, and are useful for supporting the conductive cables and at the same time insulate them electrically. They consist of a metal bell, a metal pin and a glass or porcelain disk. The joint action of atmospheric pollution, humidity and intense electric field on the surface of these insulators provide the incidence of electric discharges in the central region of the pins which catalyze the process of corrosion and rupture thereof, resulting in catastrophic failures in the electrical system. In this sense, this work developed an electrostatic protection device, called "Faraday Cage for Disk Isolator Pins", aiming to shield the intermediate region of the pins against the effects of the external electric field. In addition, it proposed the application of super-hydrophobic coating under the insulator glass disk in order to facilitate the removal of the atmospheric contaminants that induce the emergence of the voltaic arcs that are directed to the surface of the pins. Through a van der Graaf generator, experimental tests of electric shocks were carried out under a pin protected by the first prototype of the device. And with the aid of simulation software, based on the Finite Element Method, some computational simulations of the electric field distribution were carried out on 2D models of chains of insulators added by the device. The tests verified that the device was able to avoid the incidence of electric discharges, of the order of 20 to 90 kV, in the region of the pin of greater occurrence of corrosion. The results of the simulations, in turn, clearly showed that the device can cancel out the intense electric field on the intermediate surface of the pins, whose intensity reached 52 kV / m in the vicinity of the device that was protecting the pin closer to the terminal of 69 kV considered in the graphical models developed for the simulations. Finally, it was found that the application of super-hydrophobic coating on the glass surface of an insulator was able to considerably reduce the accumulation of particulates under it, which corresponds to the contact angle of 155.55 ° which was measured between a surface flat coated and a drop of water.

The globalization and consolidation of multinational companies result in increased competition between factories within the same group. A factory must always strive to reach the level of excellence, meeting the standards of world-class manufacturing, optimizing resources and reducing its operational cost. In this context, the Lean Manufacturing arises, which, by systematically attacking the wastes within the productive processes, seeks to maximize operational efficiency, and for this reason, has been shown as a very successful option in the globalized competition. However, the adoption of the Lean Manufacturing in the companies settled in the Manaus Industrial Pole is not following the speed that the market demands. This work is based on the premise that the Lean Manufacturing system when applied to a motorcycle manufacturing company installed in Manaus Industrial Pole in a structured manner, will lead the company to a productivity gain and consequent reduction of operating costs. In this way, the general objective of this work is to implement Lean Manufacturing in a motorcycle manufacturer of high displacement motorcycles installed in the Manaus Free Trade Zone. The case study methodology was used, guided by the PDCA tool. A multidisciplinary group was organized, and the lean maturity level was determined by applying the SAE J4000 standard. The Kaizen program was created, followed by the implementation of visual management, Line Balancing and Quick Tool Exchange (SMED). The research is finished with a review of the results achieved, as well as with the presentation of the author's considerations regarding the relevant peculiarities related to the process of implementation of the Lean Manufacturing. concluded that the main result was achieved, increasing the Lean maturity of the production process to M = 0.74, according to the J4000 Standard, which means, the Lean Manufacturing is implemented and presents effective results.

An enhanced parabolic cylindrical solar concentrator with automated tracking on a single axis is presented to heat water to be applied in the açaí bleaching technique. This system uses the direct solar radiation and concentrates it in a focal point transforming it into thermal energy. In view of the above, a system of thermal energy generation using the direct solar radiation concentrated in parabolic trough for the heating of water and controlling the flow generate steam, will be constructed with recycled materials, the prototype has as main characteristic the tracking system automated through a micro controller, with digital inputs where LDR (light dependent resistor) type sensors are connected and at the output a single axis actuator and with a degree of freedom to move the system in an East-West direction, the tracker was implemented and tested for real-time performance. The program that is transferred to the controller, developed in Ladder language and does the closed-loop control, based on the output signal that is compared to the set point and the response to correct the position error, which caused the parabolic trough is always pointed at the sun at a 90º angle, ideal angle so that the trough receives the maximum direct irradiation from the sun. The controller corrected the real-time regime error, the system is always positioned at the maximum irradiance angle that can be observed with the results presented from the analysis of data collected from the system operating in mode: manual and automated tracking, another factor that demonstrates the efficiency of the concentrator is the concentration rate, which is the ratio between the area of the gutter opening, that is, area receiving the direct radiation and absorption area, prototype showed a rate in the value of 14, this is a parameter which affects inversely proportional to the thermal efficiency of the concentrator, ie the energy balance, but this result is within the limits of tracking on a single axis. The maximum energy efficiency was 127.81 ºC for manual tracing and 131.70 ºC for automated tracing. Thus, the implementation of the automated tracking method on a single axis, based on the analysis of the results, proves the contribution of the work compared to manual tracking methods.

The use of residues in the clay-based ceramic composition for the production of ceramics has been widely studied, since a significant improvement in the chemical and physical properties of the final materials has been observed. The aim of this work is to evaluate the influence of the incorporation of 5 and 10 wt. % of blast furnace sludge into the clay slag, both from the state of Pará. The raw material and the waste were initially benefited in order to reduce the particle size and subsequently passed through a sieve with a mesh opening equal to #325. After this step, the residue and the raw material were submitted to FRX, EDS, XRD, TG / DTG, particle size distribution, MO, SEM and determination of plasticity and liquidity limits. Test specimens were prepared by uniaxial pressing of 20 Mpa for burning in a muffle-type laboratory oven at temperatures of 750, 850 and 950oC. MEA, PA, AA, RLQ and three-point flexural strength were evaluated. The microstructure of the burnt ceramics was evaluated by OM, MEV and XRD. The results showed that the blast furnace slurry consists predominantly of iron compounds, which contributes to the reddish placement in the sintered part. The residue presents a granulometry favorable to the addition in clayey mass, not altering the technological properties. Thus, it was concluded that the composition with addition of 5% of blast furnace sludge was the one that presented favorable results and required by standards for the manufacture of tiles.

Fire-fighting systems (FFS) are critical to the safety of industrial facilities of oil and gas, both to preserve the physical integrity of units and especially the safety of people living or working in the area of influence of these facilities. The purpose of this work is to apply mechatronic concepts for modeling and analysis of a fire-fighting system located on a waterway terminal that transports oil and gas, considering the type of signs that indicate the occurrence of fire or an accident at a plant industrial, will take into account the theory of discrete event systems (DES). Because of the complexity of the FFS, one has as required adequate modeling that makes it able to check the system dynamics and its interaction with other industrial systems. From the knowledge base of scenarios and FFS behavior in case of accident, develops formal models using Colored Petri nets for modeling and analysis of system responses in case of emergency.
