RESUMO:

Nos últimos anos, observou-se, no cenário político brasileiro, a ascensão de uma nova direita, fortemente marcada por elementos conservadores e, também, neoliberais. O crescimento e fortalecimento deste grupo, bem como uma série de eventos de ordem socioeconômica e política, possibilitou que Jair Bolsonaro se tornasse presidente por meio das eleições de 2018. Atualmente, observa-se um fenômeno peculiar, denominado “bolsonarismo”, um significante que agrega diversos elementos e que ultrapassa a própria figura do presidente Jair Bolsonaro. Um dos elementos centrais a este fenômeno é o reforço da figura da “família tradicional”, seja com fundamento no conservadorismo cristão, seja por meio de argumentos essencialmente economicistas, como justificativa para a diminuição dos gastos do Estado com o social e alocação de tais dispêndios para o âmbito “privado”. Para compreender a importância do elemento da família para o bolsonarismo, contudo, é necessário voltar no tempo e observar a mobilização da figura da “família tradicional” pela nova direita brasileira. É o que se dispõe a desenvolver a presente pesquisa, sobretudo no que diz respeito ao período compreendido entre 2013, ano das Jornadas de Junho, e 2018, ano das eleições presidenciais das quais Jair Bolsonaro saiu vitorioso. Para isso, definiremos, primeiramente, através de pesquisa bibliográfica, o que se entende por nova direita brasileira. Também buscaremos apontar onde a figura da “família tradicional” aparece na prática político-discursiva desta direita, de que forma esta figura é exibida, e quais as justificativas para o apelo a esta figura. Além disso, demonstraremos a relevância da mobilização da figura da família no campo da nova direita e, posteriormente, do que se entende por bolsonarismo.

2 ABSTRACT

 

Throughout the last few years, it was observed, in the Brazilian political scene, the rise of a new form of right wing, strongly marked by conservative and also neoliberal elements. The growth and strengthening of this group, as well as a series of socioeconomic and political events, made it possible for Jair Bolsonaro to become president in 2018. Currently, there is a peculiar phenomenon called "bolsonarismo", a signifier that brings together several elements and goes beyond the figure of President Jair Bolsonaro. One of the basic elements of this phenomenon is the reinforcement of the figure of the "traditional family", either based on Christian conservatism, or supported through essentially economic arguments, as a justification for the reduction of State spending on social and allocation of such expenses for the “private” scope. To understand the importance of the “family” element for bolsonarismo, however, it is necessary to go back in time and observe the mobilization of the “traditional family” figure by the new Brazilian right. This is fundamentally the scope of this research, especially with regard to the period between 2013, the year of the June Journeys, and 2018, the year of the presidential updates from which Jair Bolsonaro emerged victorious. In order to accomplish such observations, we will define, primarily, through bibliographical research, what do we mean by the “new Brazilian right”. We will also seek to point out where the “traditional family” figure appears in the political-discursive practice of said right, the manners in which this figure is displayed, and what are the justifications for the appeal to this figure. In addition, we will also demonstrate the relevance of mobilization of the “family” figure in the field of the new right and, later, of what is understood by bolsonarismo.
